A new season and a new venue!
Dear Friends of the Cleveland Chamber Music Society,
Our move to Plymouth Church allows the Society to present music as it was meant to be heard - in an acoustically superb environment. Such performances generate "body English" and "pizzazz"!
Consider the following: Would you rather
- watch the Cavs win a basketball game neatly played, or one that uses "body English" in daringly executed and difficult maneuvers?
- watch the Indians win a baseball game 2 to 1, or 10 to 3?
- watch the Browns win a football game 7 to 6, or 21 to 14?
- hear the Juilliard Quartet in an acoustically adequate venue or in an acoustically excellent venue?
Call it what you will, the human psyche responds positively to the right side of "or"!
The Society's concerts this season offer plenty of "pizzazz" with lots of "body English." This will be "The Year of the String Quartet," offering music from the largest chamber literature available, performed by some of the world’s most outstanding ensembles!
Join us at our concerts for the sheer beauty of sound! Support our mission through subscriptions and single-ticket attendance. Your membership, gift, and legacy estate donations let us daringly execute and provide "maneuvers" on the concert stage. Helen Wagner's legacy donation last year left such a lasting imprint for chamber music lovers that we dedicate our first concert each year to her memory. Now that's "pizzazz"!
